Knowledge you can trust

We started behind a feed counter, and we never forgot it. Everything we stock has to earn its place, the way good gear earns yours.

From spring planting to opening weekend, Mummes carries the feed, animal health, fencing, tools, boots, and trail gear our neighbors rely on. We buy from brands that last, keep our shelves honest, and stand behind every bag and every blade we sell.

Feed & nutrition

Feed

Livestock feed for sheep, goats & cattle, plus wildlife feed for deer; from the mills our customers ask for by name, bagged and bulk.

Fashion

Men’s gear, and the Hey Love ladies’ boutique; clothing and outfitting for the work, the weather, and the wide open.

Knowledge you can trust

Firearms

The brands and categories we carry, chosen and explained by people who know them; so you leave with the right fit, not just a sale.

Built for the brush country

Feeders & blinds by All Seasons

All Seasons Feeders builds in Texas, for Texas — galvanized steel, varmint-proof legs, and blinds that stay quiet and cool through a long sit. We stock them at both stores and we will help you spec the right one.

Since 1928

More than just a feed store

What started with one brood of a hundred laying chicks is now two grain-receiving facilities and two retail stores, serving the farm and ranch country between Hondo and Pearsall — and the deer camps, kitchens and closets that come with it.

Good to know

Still have questions?

The things folks ask us most, answered.

Do you offer delivery or curbside pickup?

Yes to both. Call ahead with your order and we’ll have it bagged and waiting at the counter, or load it curbside. We run local delivery on bulk feed and larger orders — ask us about the route for your area.

Can you special-order a brand you don’t stock?

Almost always. If it ships from one of our suppliers, we can usually have it on the next truck. Tell us the brand and the bag size and we’ll track down a price and a date.

How fresh is your feed?

We turn our feed inventory weekly and order to demand rather than stacking pallets that sit. You’ll find mill dates on the bags, and we’re happy to pull the freshest stock from the back.

Do you price-match the big box stores?

On identical items, bring us the ad and we’ll do our best to meet it. More often we find our everyday prices are already close — and the advice comes free.
